What is it?

Indio allows you to renew and pull over a submission's applications and schedules, along with all the information stored in the prior year's submission. The signature of those applications will not be included with the renewed submission.

*Agencies with Bi-Directional Epic Integration, click here for instructions.

Benefits of the feature:

By essentially duplicating the Data Collection from the prior year (applications, schedules, client updates, formatting changes, etc), this feature drastically reduces the amount of time needed to prep submissions for clients.

How to use the feature:

Once a submission is marked as Complete using the expansion menu, Mark Submission as Complete, a new button will appear in the Submission list View.

To renew your submission, you may click the "Renew" button.

Next, enter the information of the renewal submission (Note that the renewing submission will indicate along the top of the submission that it’s renewing from).

Indio will automatically name the submission the month & year of the new effective date. This can be modified at any time, along with the Effective Date, Due Date, Lines of Business, and Entities.

You may now Select Markets based on your agency's preferred insurers or explore the current Market Appetites by clicking View Market Appetite.

*Canadian users will not be prompted to select markets.

If you choose to explore Market Appetite, you will enter the built-in IVANS Market Appetite search module. From here you can search all insurers for your previously selected Lines of Business.

You may search by Class Code, Lines, and State. To select this market for future use in your marketing process, click the empty box (this will fill the box with a checkmark) & the market will be added to the right Selected Markets column. Once finished, click Done.

For Epic Bi-Directional users, you will now be prompted to Import Data from Epic. All Others will be brought to the Data Collection tab inside your newly created submission.

At this point, the submission will renew, and the application data from the prior submission will map over. Like new submissions, you are still able to add forms, update share settings, hide information, etc.

What are the next steps after I’ve renewed the submission?

If additional forms/schedules are needed for the renewal, check out our article on Data Collection.

If no additional forms/schedules are needed for the renewal, we recommend turning on Indio’s Verification Mode to ensure that the insured reviews the entire application before signing. This protects you & your Agency from E&O.
