How to Sync Account and Contact Information to Indio From Applied Epic

What is it?

With the help of the Indio and Applied Epic SDK integration, customers can sync Account and Contacts information from Applied Epic to Indio in real-time and in a matter of a few clicks.

Data that will sync from Applied Epic to Indio:

  • Client Code

  • Client first name, last name

  • Client address

  • Client contacts (first name, last name, email address)

  • Agents assigned to the client's accounts (first name, last name, email address, employee's regions)

  • Client Account Type (Personal, Commercial, or Benefits)

  • Opportunity Type (Current or Prospect)

  • Branch (Supporting two - way sync of agencies and branches which exist in Applied Epic for the brokerage)

How to Use The Feature:

1) To enable this two-way sync, click on the "Sync with Epic" button located in the bottom right corner of your Submissions page.

2) Select "Import from Epic," which will push Account and Client Contacts information from Applied Epic into Indio.

Notes Regarding 'Lookup Codes"

If the lookup code of the client exists in both the systems and you select "Import from Epic", then it will bring over the latest and the most updated information from Applied Epic as shown below.

If the lookup code does not exist in either of the two systems (either left blank or a new one is created in Indio), and you select "Import from Epic", then it will ask for the right lookup code (Lookup codes are required for syncing account information).



Account Type

The Account Type in Indio is set based on the Type of Business checkboxes in Epic.

  • A Business account in Epic is created as a Commercial account type in Indio.

  • If there are multiple Type of Business checkboxes checked including Commercial, the account is created as a Commercial account type in Indio.

  • An Individual account in Epic is created as a Personal account type in Indio.

  • If there are multiple Type of Business checkboxes checked including Personal but not including Commercial, the account is created as a Personal account type in Indio.

  • If Benefits is the Type of Business checked in Epic and both Commercial and Personal are not checked then the account is created as a Benefits account type in Indio.

To change an account type in Indio, click Edit for the General Info under Manage Account.
