What is it?

It can be cumbersome to import and export the entire ACORD form when really all you need the insured to update is the schedule, so Indio now provides the option to export supported schedules from Indio directly back into Epic!

Note that this feature does not yet work on all schedules - only schedules associated with the below policy lines:

ACORD 125 - Named Insured, Locations

ACORD 126 - GL Hazards

ACORD 127 - Business Auto

ACORD 130 - Workers Compensation

ACORD 146 - Equipment

Benefits of the Feature

This allows you to easily request changes from your insured and then update Epic without having to manually deal with spreadsheets or csv files. This is an alternative workflow to importing and exporting acord forms, which can be overly complex or unnecessary for some renewals.

How Does the Feature Work?

Check out this short video to see it in action, or follow the steps below.

  1. Import your workbook as you normally would and send the submission to your insured for updates

  2. Once updates are received and you’re ready to export the data to Epic!

  3. Open Epic and confirm that you have a policy or marketing submission ready that you can import into

    1. Indio does not process endorsements, so you cannot export info into a bound policy in Epic. Indio only supports exporting into in-process policies or marketing submissions

    2. Remember to close the policy in Epic. If a policy is open in Epic then it is “locked” and Indio will not be able to complete the export

  4. Back in Indio, click the Actions menu in your submission and choose Export to Epic

  5. You will then be able to choose whether you’d like to export the full data from your applications, or just export the schedule data. Choose Schedules and click next.

  6. Choose the policy or marketing submission from the list that you want to export data into. If you need to export data to multiple policies, you’ll have to repeat this process again

  7. Confirm that schedules are being exported to the proper policy line and correct them if needed. If you don’t want to export a particular schedule, choose “Don’t map this schedule”

  8. Indio will then show a summary screen comparison between Epic and Indio where you can see the specific items that will be changing. If you are comfortable with the changes, choose Proceed with Export.

  9. Once the export is complete, you’re done!
