What is it?
With the Epic Bi-Directional integration, customers can pull ACORD information for their insureds to make updates in Indio, then push that information back to Applied Epic.

The majority of the ACORD data will be pushed/pulled through the integration, and future enhancements will enable 100%. To know more about what data can be exchanged between the two systems, please read here.

Benefit of the Feature:

Rather than rekeying pages of information, agents can now push/pull ACORD data from in-force, renewing, or marketed policies in Epic in a matter of clicks.

How to Use The Feature:

In your existing submission, use the Actions menu to find & select Import from Epic or Export to Epic. If you do not see these links, then your client in Indio is not synced with the corresponding client in Applied Epic. Make sure you sync them first.

Select the Policies or Marketing Submissions: Next, Indio will give you the option to select the policy that you want to import or export to/from Applied Epic. Currently, only one policy or marketing submission can be selected at a time to ensure data accuracy. The policies or submissions available are those that are active or future dated.

Confirming Overwrite: The last step to importing or exporting your policies is to confirm the action that will overwrite the information that is in Indio or Applied Epic.

You can review all of the changes in detail by clicking "View Changes" for each form. For more information on how to utilize the Change summary screen, continue here.

Audit Trail and Integration Log of Imports and Exports

When an import or export is initiated in Indio, an audit trail is maintained at the submission level, including timestamps for the last data transfer performed on the submission.
